The EV FirePro Plus is the EV FirePro model for commercial buildings and multi-level car parks. It connects to building mains, an existing sprinkler or hydrant system, or a dedicated tank and pump, and integrates with FACP and BMS for addressable monitoring and control. As an EV car fire suppression solution, it delivers under-vehicle and lateral water spray to help reduce heat spread and fire propagation during an EV battery fire. King Fire provides supply, installation and maintenance of EV FirePro Plus in Singapore.
Constructed in 304 or 316 marine-grade stainless steel. For installations in coastal or harsh environments, 316 marine-grade stainless steel is required.

Why EV fires in car parks need a different approach
EV battery packs sit under the vehicle floor, while conventional car park systems mostly work from above. EV FirePro Plus puts water where the heat source is. Singapore had 30,500 EV charging points as of March 2026 and targets 60,000 by 2030. Many of these sit in basement and multi-storey car parks. EV battery fires are infrequent, but thermal runaway brings intense heat, toxic gas, re-ignition risk and difficult access to the battery pack.
What EV FirePro Plus does, and what it doesn't
Plus is designed to manage the consequences of an EV battery fire: cooling the battery area, reducing heat release, limiting lateral flame spread and protecting adjacent vehicles and building elements until firefighters take control. It is not designed to stop thermal runaway inside the battery. It complements the building’s existing sprinklers, ventilation and emergency procedures.
Independently tested at Applus+ Laboratories
EV FirePro was performance-tested with Applus+ Laboratories in Madrid, Spain, in February 2025, using a Renault Zoe EV battery fire scenario. The tests had two objectives:
- To control an EV battery thermal runaway fire
- To prevent fire spread from the burning vehicle to adjacent vehicles, prior to and during firefighter intervention
According to the test summary:
- No fire spread occurred to the adjacent vehicle
- Temperatures around the ignited vehicle remained below 60°C
- Maximum ceiling temperature stayed below 250°C
- Incident heat flux remained below 2.5 kW/m²
The test report concluded the system met the testing protocol requirements under the evaluated conditions.
How EV FirePro Plus works
- Detection: Linear heat detection wire senses abnormal temperature near the vehicle floor at the set threshold (68°C standard, 88°C or 105°C).
- Automatic activation: Once elevated temperature is detected, the system activates automatically and begins water discharge. Plus also signals the building's FACP or BMS for addressable monitoring.
- Targeted cooling: Low-profile nozzles direct water upward toward the battery pack and laterally toward surrounding exposures.
- Containment support: Cooling helps reduce radiant heat and lower the risk of fire spread to adjacent vehicles and ceiling services.
- Firefighter support: By slowing fire growth and reducing heat intensity, the system helps improve access and response conditions for emergency services.

Is EV car fire suppression mandated by the SCDF Fire Code?
